Make-Your-Own Witches' Brew;

Family Halloween Party
 

Lakes By Yoo is a private estate containing luxury waterfront properties, set amidst 650 acres of beautiful Cotswold countryside.

 

We were approached by the events organiser from Lakes By Yoo to put on an activity for the families that reside there, as they were having a weekend of fun for Halloween.

 

We at Samuelsons, put our heads together to come up with an activity that would keep, firstly the children entertained, then the parents also. We had over two hours with children coming and going, so it had to be easy enough to do with 10 at a time, down to just one at a time.

With that in mind we decided that the "Witches' Brew" would be done from scratch! With the basis of our lemonade as a start, the children, and parents, could choose exactly what they would like to go into the "Brew". 

Before the making of the Brew, each child or adult, would design their very own Halloween label for the bottle. Giving each person the opportunity to think of a scary, spooky, yucky name for their wildy made "Witches' Brew"! Each person had the chance to make two drinks each, one with their own label and one with a pre-printed label, designed by us, just for times sake.

Once this has been completed they progressed on to the next stage; deciding what to put in their Witches' Brew! We had an array of different Monin syrups, like mint, gingerbread, cherry, blackberry, chocolate, raspberry and strawberry. As well as that, they had the choice of sweets; teeth and fangs, (this gave each child texture in their Brews!), plus food colouring. Green was a big hit! Perfect for Halloween!
